Sibling DNA test is divided into two according to number of common parents as ‘full sibling’ and ‘half sibling’. If both parents are common for siblings, it is called ‘full sibling’. On the contrary, if just mother or just father is common, it is called ‘half sibling’. According to sibling type, numbers of test participants are determined and their permissions for test are taken. For under 18 years old children, permissions of official parents are required. Cotton swabs sent by us are delivered back to laboratory after collecting mouth swab samples by stirring them to inside of the cheek. Results are ready in 5 weekdays after reaching samples. Procedures are the same for both ‘full sibling’ and ‘half sibling’ tests worked with 26 genetic markers. Results cannot be used as evidence in courts.
